Here at Tamar Care Services we always put the focus on what you can do rather than what you can't! We firmly believe in 'where there's a will, there's a way'.
We can support and assist you with participation
in your usual hobbies and interests, learning something new, trips out, meeting
others, having a coffee or a meal out, visiting the library, park or
beach - whatever the mood takes you!
Perhaps you have always wanted to learn how to use a computer and keep in touch with family and friends that live away? Perhaps you would like to join a book club, play chess or even learn to tango?
We are here to support people of all age groups to lead full and active lives in the way that they choose.
All of our support workers are
experienced in a wide range of activities - one is even a qualified rock
climber, canoeist and archer so if you're feeling adventurous why not give it a go? One is a photographer and pretty good with computers. Another is a keen cyclist and another likes to sing & dance.
Previous customers have enjoyed gym sessions, playing chess, swimming, ice skating, theatre and cinema visits, boat trips, fishing, dance classes, further education and learning how to email family in New Zealand.
We are fortunate enough to live in a city that has everything at our disposal and opportunities are there for everyone to enjoy and participate in.
We also hold our own regular coffee and luncheon clubs for our customers and staff to get together, share ideas and enjoy each other's company. Details are always printed in our newsletter so why not join our mailing list and keep in touch with what is happening?
