Winter 2019 updates

Posted on 24 November, 2019 at 4:10
A busy time of things recently! We have had our CQC inspection and are currently awaiting the full report and ratings and will post the results as soon as we have them. Early indications are leaving us feeling quietly confident though. All of the team have worked so hard and no matter what the outcome, some bottles of fizz will be on their desks. We have a couple of new staff members joining our fantastic team and look forward to working with them and introducing them to everyone. Our 'man team' continues to go from strength to strength also and we now have EIGHT male supporters. On December 6th we have our Christmas party for staff and clients, families and friends. Luckily our office is big enough to house an event such as this and we lay on a buffet, some drinks, music and generally have a good time. Our team are encouraged to bring their children and 'Santa' usually leaves an early present under our tree for them. The mini bus trips are continuing to be popular and we are off on a evening jaunt on 12th December to see the Christmas lights in Plymouth and have a look around the Christmas market. My mum tends to join us on these as she 'gets to see her daughter then'! Both John and myself do tend to work long hours and mum doesn't see us as often as she would like. Watch this space for a possible house move next year and all of us living together. Ollie the Romanian rescue dog is still coming to work with us each day but has become a little more confident and with it, a little naughtier. He now chases the postman and delivery people, barks at anyone that comes near me and eats anything out of rubbish bins! Jim the Jack Russell is nearly 19 now so tends to stay home under the duvet and has a break from Ollie. More updates to follow soon!
