Dad goes to Spain

My poor Dad has waited and waited to get his 'Free' passport on his 80th Birthday - he refused to buy one before that (his previous one ran out two years ago) because he saw it as a 'waste of money' when he might not be around to use it to its full extent (morbid but ever practical is my Dad  :)), He's just about to celebrate that big 80 and they have moved the goalposts. He has to wait until he's 85! Well, its father's day soon and guess what he is getting from us? It's about time he felt the Spanish sun on his back again and I think Spain has now fully recovered from his last little jaunt.

Cornwall gets noticed!

It's taken a while,  but at long last there is to be a care manager's network event in Cornwall. This is being hosted by the National Skills Academy on the 5th May in Fraddon. The purpose of the event is to share good practice, support each other and gather information on achieving excellence with CQC. Of course CQC have their regulatory place within care, but it's far more important to achieve excellence for your customers and staff :)

Should be a good day though and quite a milestone event for Cornwall.
